Stay in the authentic look of an old barn
De Schuur has a striking appearance. This renovated barn still contains many old elements, such as the trusses and the old beam structure, combined with the authentic brick walls from the region and the sleek look of the large windows, which add extra charm.
The house has been furnished with care. White walls, large windows and the beautiful wooden staircase define the look.
The house is suitable for up to 10 people (9 adults and 1 child).
Sleep well
You will stay in one of the 3 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom with washbasin, toilet and walk-in shower. Upon arrival, soft towels will be waiting for you (1 small and 1 large per person), along with luxury toiletries and a bath mat.
The box-spring beds ensure optimal sleeping comfort and are made up with fresh, ironed linen so that your holiday can start in a relaxed manner.
Cook to your heart's content
A cosy kitchen with a large island invites you to cook together and enjoy a delicious meal in the nearby dining area.
You can chat for hours at the XL dining table or play a board game together.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an induction hob, dishwasher, oven, microwave, spacious fridge with freezer (with 3 drawers) and a coffee and tea corner with kettle, coffee maker and a Nespresso machine. A packet of coffee and a box of tea will be waiting for you on arrival, along with some treats from one of the Ambassadors of the Pajottenland.
In the open sitting area on the first floor, you can enjoy the wonderful view of the garden and fields. This lounge area invites you to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Walking guides, cycling maps and all kinds of books are waiting for you here.
Outdoor living
When the weather is nice, open the large windows onto the private terrace and enjoy breakfast or lunch outside. Eating outside is a treat with the greenery in the background. When the weather is nice, the barbecue is ready for you. Next to the house, there is an additional terrace under the plane tree pergola. A wonderful place to enjoy an aperitif.
Or you can take a dip in the heated swimming pool. This is located in the back garden and is shared with the owner's family and a maximum of four guests from Den Ast. Use of the pool is weather and season dependent. Privacy and tranquillity are always guaranteed and appreciated here. No pool parties.
Parking and bicycles
There is a private car park for guests with space for 3-4 cars opposite the entrance across the street. This is shared with guests of Den Ast holiday home.
Bicycles can be stored in the bicycle shed, where electric bicycles can be charged. A washing machine and drying rack are available.

Checking in and out Holiday home
We are happy to welcome you in person from 4 p.m. onwards, by appointment only!
You will receive the key code upon arrival.
Other times are possible if agreed with us in advance.
Check-out: on departure, the holiday home must be tidy and vacated by 10 a.m. on weekdays and 1 p.m. on Sundays.
Pets
Assistance dogs are welcome.
Pets (large and small) are not allowed.
The holiday homes are completely smoke-free.
Appliances such as deep fryers, gourmet sets, fondue sets, teppanyaki sets, pizza ovens, etc. are not allowed.
NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE
Mandatory final cleaning: €75.00. Cleaning will be done for you, but we ask that you leave the house tidy and brush-clean: tidying up (toys), organizing cupboards, washing up, degreasing/scrubbing the barbecue, etc. is not included in the price.
DEPOSIT: €400.00 per booking in the holiday home. To be paid before arrival by bank transfer (see the general terms and conditions). Returned within a week after departure to your account, subject to deduction of costs in case of damage or breakage.
